Dr Kan received his basic medical training in the Chinese University of Hong Kong. He finished pathology training in United Christian Hospital in Hong Kong and is currently the Fellow of the Hong Kong College of Pathologists as well as the Fellow of the Royal College of Pathologists in Australasia. Dr. Kan received further training in medical renal pathology in University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, United States. He received molecular pathology training in the University of Hong Kong and was awarded Postgraduate Diploma in Molecular and Diagnostic Pathology in 2012. Dr. Kan is a general surgical pathologist with special interest in medical renal pathology and molecular pathology. He is currently the Consultant Pathologist in St. Teresa’s Hospital, Hong Kong. Dr Kan is active in providing service and development in molecular biomarker testing for solid tumors, as well as PD-L1 testing for immunotherapy in cancers.
