Dr Roberto graduated from the Faculty of Medicine of the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). He specialized in General Surgery graduated from Health Services of PEMEX HCN, (UNAM). Dr Roberto completed his training in advanced laparoscopy and minimal invasive surgery at Juarez Hospital Mexico(UNAM). He  sub-specialized in Bariatric and Metabolic in the Obesity Clinic of the General Tlahuac Hospital. Dr Roberto is currently Certified  bariatric surgeon  by the Mexican Council of General Surgery, A.C. (CONACEM). Dr Roberto is an active Member of the Mexican Association of General Surgery, Member of the Mexican College of Surgery for Obesity and Metabolic Diseases (CMCOEM) and  Member of the IFSO (International Federation for the Surgery of Obesity & Metabolic Disorders). Dr Roberto is the Co-founder of Metabolic and Bariatric Center in Mexico. He is interested and regularly involved in the research activities.
