Dr. Barbara Giambene MD PhD

Dr Barbara Giambene obtained her medical degree in 2000, her degree in ophthalmology in 2004 and her doctoral degree in glaucoma in 2008 at the University of Firenze, Italy.  She is medical retina consultant ophthalmologist, researcher and teacher at the University Hospital of Firenze, Italy, since 2005.

Her main expertise fields are medical retina, glaucoma and neuro-ophthalmology. She conducted several basic and clinical research investigations. She authored more than 30 peer-reviewed PubMed indexed papers. Dr Barbara discussed in more than 40 national and international conferences. She also served as reviewer and editor for several journals.
